Exhaust Systems and Components

Since 1985, CJI Process Systems has been designing and installing exhaust systems for the control of corrosive fumes, moist gases and dust-laden airflows. Systems and components are available in all thermoplastics as well as fiberglass, galvanized steel and stainless steel.

Components include:

  • Tank covers
  • Exhaust hoods
  • Ducting
  • Fans
  • Scrubbers

All CJI exhaust systems are fabricated in accordance with the latest edition of the Industrial Ventilation Guidebook, published by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA).

Our systems meet or exceed current EPA and OSHA requirements. Our PVC equipment adheres to flame spread and smoke standards per Industrial Risk Insurers (IRI). CJI Process Systems exhaust fans are licensed to bear the seal of the Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA).

Unique and Efficient Designs

CJI utilizes a number of exhaust designs that best fit a range of parameters, chemistries and conditions. We will often go beyond simple pull, pull/pull, and/or push/pull designs. In areas with extreme weather conditions, with challenges related to summer heat or winter cold, CJI will often utilize automated tank covers and pull the exhaust from beneath the covers. We use pneumatic dampers to modulate the airflow, thereby decreasing volumes when the covers are closed and accelerating to full volumes when covers are open. This approach can dramatically reduce exhaust volumes, often by as much as 70 percent. These reduced volumes can result in a lower capital cost of exhaust pollution control and air make-up equipment. Perhaps of more importance, they can dramatically reduce the ongoing cost of heating and cooling air make up volumes.
